Christmas tales
To celebrate Christmas this year, the 1st ESO students have read some traditional Christmas tales in three languages: English, French and Spanish. After the reading, they played Kahoot games about Christmas traditions in the UK, France and Spain. The winners got a big round of applause by the audience and a bag of candy!

Camera Obscura
As part of a History project in 4ºESO, the students have learned about the origins of photography. They have found out about "camera obscura", a curious tool that became popular in the 16th century as an aid for drawing and painting, and later developed into the photographic camera. Ana Martínez tells us more about it in the video below:
Hallowe'en
Ghouls, spirits, ghosts and other supernatural creatures have walked the corridors one more year to scare our students away. But they have been brave enough to fight them! After learning some vocabulary related to the celebration, they have played some typical games where they have had to show their courage, ability and determination. We all have had a great time! Bilingual Types
Dentro del curso de formación del profesorado 'Aprender lenguas y contenidos en contextos plurilingües', alumnado de 2ºESO ha participado en una actividad audiovisual en la que hemos visionado una interesante TED Talk, 'The benefits of a bilingual brain', con el objetivo de entender la importancia de hablar varias lenguas para desenvolverse en la sociedad actual y grabado un video desgranando la diferencia entre los tres tipos de bilingüismo (bilingüe compuesto, bilingüe coordinado y bilingüe subordinado).

Trip to Gibraltar
After 2 years of pandemic, we are now ready for new adventures. Well, not exactly, since we have taken our 1º ESO students to Gibraltar for a long time now. This year we have first visited the World Heritage Site of The Dolmens of Antequera, where they have learned about Neolithic societies. Then, after a nice swim in the sea, a whole day in the Rock, and the wonders of St. Michael's Caves, the amazing apes of the place, a boat trip to watch dolphins swim around us, and many more things ...

Erasmus+ Project
After two years of pandemic, we have been able to resume our Erasmus+ project, BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY, about how to tackle bullying and cyberbullying. Put off twice because of the sanitary situation, the mobility in Seraing (Belgium) has been carried out thanks to the enthusiasm and hard work of both students and teachers. On this occasion, the main task was to produce a campaign to raise awareness about this awful issue. The students have written, acted and directed three videos, which will be edited in our next meeting in Nicosia (Sicily). In addition, we have been able to visit the cities of Liège and Brussels, including a fantastic visit to the European Parliament.

Thanksgiving Day
1º ESO MASCOT
In 1º ESO the students have been working all year on a multidisciplinary project: the design of a mascot for their group
They have been assigned tasks periodically so as to get to know their mascot a little more. In Spanish, they have written a fable to explain the origin of the mascot, and also they have worked on argumentative texts by writing an essay to give reasons why their mascot should be chosen as their group's mascot.
In French, they have written about the mascot's family, physical description and daily routines. In Art they have produced various drawings of their mascots.
In Geography and History the mascot has been a tourist in Montoro and after visiting the most important landmarks in the town they have made a poster with their adventures.
In English, they have introduced the mascot, described their appearance and personality, talked about their hobbies and favourite things, their routines, what they did last summer, and finally, they have invited everyone in the school to a fantastic party.
