HALLOWEEN

Are you frightened of ghosts? Do vampires and werewolves scare you? If your answer is NO, then go on reading. Would you like to go into a haunted house? Would you like to terrify friends and relatives? If your answer is YES, then go on reading.

This year we celebrated HALLOWEEN with a spectacular Jack O Lantern Competition. All the 1º eso students created wonderfully spooky creatures. Have a look!

Then, on 31st October, we learned some interesting vocabulary and watched a video about how British children celebrate Halloween.

Tonguetwisters Contest

To celebrate the European Day of Languages we held a competition last Monday, 26th September. Students (2nd ESO - 13 years old) had to memorize some not too easy tonguetwisters in English, French (virelangues) and Spanish. It was really good fun and everybody had a wonderful time! For the jury (some of their teachers), choosing the best ones was not an easy task. Here are the winners in each language.

William Shakespeare

This year we are celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. Santos Isasa School invited the 5th Primary students of CEIP Nuestra Señora del Rosario to a fun activity where they learned a lot about Shakespeare and his time.

Following Shakespeare's timeline we talked about the importance of Shakespeare, his life as an actor and writer, his theatre, The Globe, and some of his most important plays.

We even had some of the characters on stage. Hamlet, Juliet and the Fool appeared on stage. We all learned a lot, had a wonderful time and some of them even got a penny for their correct answers (1 penny was what poor people had to pay to stand in front of the stage to see the play). Montoro Fashion Week

Stylish clothes, fashionable accesories, attractive models on the catwalk...every year the 2ESO students show us the new trends in fashion. Our school becomes a paradise for clothes lovers and fashion victims for one day. And our show competes with the most famous catwalks around the world, París, Milan and New York. And don't worry about language: fashion is an international language and in case you need more detailed explanations, the show is broadcast in English, French and Spanish!

Christmas Time

It's Christmas Time! To celebrate it, the students of 1º and 2º ESO had a spectacular show which included a Karaoke contest, lots of presentations about Christmas traditions in the UK, France and Spain, a quiz show and a Christmas Cards competition. Here are some photos:
