Once more, the trip to Gibraltar is the perfect ending to a wonderful year. This time, the 2ESO students were able to practise their English as well as enjoy the many beautiful places the Rock offers: a guided tour around the mountain, visiting the apes' shelter, Europe Point, a cruise in the strait for dolphin watching, some shopping, for sure, St Michael's caves, and many more...
World Poetry Day
World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999. Its purpose is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of POETRY throughout the world and, as the original UNESCO declaration says, to "give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements".
At our school, we have celebrated this day with a public Reading, in Spanish, French and English. Here are some moments of the event:
Christmas at CEIP Nuestra Señora del Rosario
We visited the other bilingual school in the town and did an activity with the kids with the language assistants, Raquel and Anna. Unexpectedly, Santa appeared to bring some presents. HO HO HO!
Halloween - Posters Competition
Team Building Day
2º ESO students of Santos Isasa School (Montoro) and Miguel Crespo School (Fernán Núñez) spent the day in Córdoba with a whole programme of activities. The morning began with a tour inside IES Góngora, where the Deputy Headmaster kindly informed us about the origins of the school and showed us around the XVIII century chapel inside the premises. After that, the students, divided into groups, carried out several tasks, a treasure hunt around Tendillas Square, a walking tour in the Jewish Quarter of the city and finally, an interview to tourists.
Love Conquers All
To celebrate St. Valentine's Day, the 1st ESO students have designed colourful hearts with lovely messages inside in Spanish, French and English.
